Entersekt technology in action

Industry-standard X.509 digital certificates authenticate the device, digitally sign transaction verification requests, and encrypt communications to and from the financial institution.

Our patented system harnesses the power of digital certificate technology with the convenience of mobile phones to provide organizations and their customers or employees with full protection from account takeover fraud. Using it, your financial institution can be certain it is communicating with a legitimate device; your customers enjoy peace of mind, confident that your messages originate from a trusted source; and no third party, not even Entersekt, can access or alter the communications.

For every transaction initiated on any digital channel, a second, two-way communication channel is established in real-time between your financial institution and the relevant customer’s mobile device. They respond to authentication prompts, not from within a browser, but using a mobile app powered by Entersekt’s push-based authentication technology.

This second-factor, out-of-band channel counters all phishing, man-in-the-middle/browser, keystroke logging, call forwarding, and number porting attacks. We built our security platform for rapid deployment. Transakt or Interakt Secure Gateway hardware appliances are configured via a web portal and can be integrated with any backend system using standard protocols like SOAP, RESTful, SAML 2.0, and RADIUS.

Perfect for deployment in heavily regulated financial sectors, Entersekt’s products, Transakt and Interakt, meet all relevant requirements set out by the US Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), European Central Bank / European Banking Authority, German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), Monetary Authority of Singapore, and other regulatory bodies. European card issuers wrestling with Directive on Payment Services II (PSD2) will find that Entersekt’s card-not-present authentication solution covers the requirements precisely while actually improving on the 3-D Secure user experience.

Our technology is compliant with ISO 21188:2006: Public key infrastructure for financial services. Transakt is FIDO Certified™ as a U2F (universal second factor) authenticator.
