Stellenbosch-based Entersekt wins second Banker Africa 2017 award in as many months

South African fintech company, Entersekt has won the Judges' Choice: Best Technology Provider at the fourth Banker Africa East Africa Awards held recently at a gala dinner in Nairobi.

A total of 30 institutions across seven countries – Kenya, Ethiopia, Mauritius, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda – took home 46 corporate awards. The winners were decided through 77,000 votes cast by the East African financial services community – the largest number of votes cast in the four-year history of the awards, and three times the number of votes cast in 2016.

“The award is not only testament to our solid operational and technical expertise, but also reflects a growing recognition of the immense benefits of digital banking and secure online channels,” says Schalk Nolte, CEO, Entersekt.

“Customers are looking to their trusted financial services providers for assurance that the proliferation of new digital channels and online transaction methods are safe, and this latest recognition solidifies our place in the market.”

The core philosophy of CPI Financial – the publisher of Banker Africa – is transparency, and to ensure accurate reporting of economics and financial matters, the future of the banking and finance community in general.

The annual Banker Africa Awards are continent-wide programmes open to all banks and financial institutions in Africa and are designed to reward and promote excellence and competition in the drive to set new standards in the industry in quality of service, best practice and financial performance.
