Senior Human Resources Manager

The ideal candidate

We are looking for a senior HR manager to ensure Entersekt continues to adhere to legal standards and implement sound people practices across all our regions. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations at all levels of the business, and for providing guidance on employee relations and HR compliance matters with support from external consultants. You should be well-versed in legal guidelines and BBBEE transformation, and have experience in general HR standards and its application.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in driving a BBBEE strategy, with a focus on employment equity, enterprise development and socio-economic initiatives
  • Perform due diligence procedures on potential BBBEE beneficiaries
  • Manage Entersekt’s participation with the Y.E.S Initiative
  • Manage the training budget for the South African regions, and ensure this ties into the BBBEE skills-development strategy
  • Ensure timely submission of Labour Department requirements (employment equity and workplace skills plan).
  • Support managers with performance reviews and disciplinary matters where required
  • Drive and maintain company culture initiatives through various employee touchpoints and events
  • Manage the relationship with the US HR business partner to ensure consistency of policy application, hiring and culture

Skills & experience

Successful candidates for this role will generally possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience as an HR/compliance/transformation manager
  • Knowledge of the MICT industry’s standards and regulations
  • BSc/BA in industrial psychology, human resources, business administration or another related field
  • Knowledge of the following legislation and employment practices:
    • Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and knowledge of LRA
    • BBBEE codes (ICT sector codes)
    • E.S Initiative
    • Employment Equity Act
    • Skills Development Act
    • Occupational Health and Safety Act
