Senior Vice President: Products

The role

Entersekt is searching for an SVP: Products with expertise in payments, banking technologies, B2B2C digital enablement and digital identity solutions. You will be responsible for setting Entersekt’s global product strategy for optimal ROI.

The SVP: Products will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and take primary responsibility for the commercial success of Entersekt’s product suite. In this role, which has a strong commercial focus, you will act as the chief evangelist of our products and engage with a range of stakeholders to define, refine and prioritize the strategic direction of the company’s product set.

You will be responsible for aligning the product portfolio and product development priorities with that of the company’s overall strategy, as well as with the markets within our different regions (North America, Europe, MEA and South Africa). In this role, you will be required to deliver on the following key areas:

  • Establish product market fit for each of Entersekt’s regions
  • Manage the product portfolio and feature functionality of products
  • Define and maintain a visible 18-month product roadmap for the product portfolio
  • Product pricing
  • Establish go-to-market plans
  • Expand, build and manage the product organization
  • Articulate value proposition with clear ROI
  • Manage and deliver ROI per product


Strategy and research

  • Work extensively with key stakeholders across the business to understand market and business needs, evaluate opportunities, and deliver sound ROI product strategies
  • Define and drive the product portfolio with the CCO, shaping Entersekt’s product vision and keeping it relevant
  • Discover and validate market trends and opportunities (both existing and future)
  • Work with key customers, industry associations, analysts, the CTO and regional members of the organization to ensure market fit for new products offerings
  • Defend a good product strategy against random changes, fads and single-customer escalations

Develop, refine and manage product portfolio process

  • Implement a transparent product portfolio process to prioritize opportunities and feature requests
  • Create a compelling vision and manage the execution of the product portfolio
  • Based on feedback and input from market research, internal stakeholders and regional teams, determine a product roadmap that will deliver the best product for the long-term strategy of Entersekt
  • Balance regional feature requests with the central product roadmap to deliver value to all regions


  • Compile and distribute regular updates of changes and progress within the product roadmap
  • Host information sharing sessions in person and digitally to disseminate strategic product information
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to compile and maintain sales collateral
  • Attend and, where appropriate, present at conferences and seminars relevant to the company strategy and value proposition
  • Lead the strategic, technical and marketing aspects of the product
  • Contribute to engineering (build process) by sharing insights of the product strategy and vision to relevant parties through your product owners

Support build release processes

  • Provide input on release documentation, training material and product guides
  • Approve final marketing and go-to-market plans
  • Assist with RFP and RFI responses
  • Lead the ROI calculation, including pricing per product

Product performance and profitability analysis

  • Implement a process to measure and report on the profitability and performance of a proposition

Skills & Experience

Successful candidates will generally possess the following skills and experience:

  • A a strong understanding of commercial B2B2C products, and software product delivery and support models
  • A technical degree with at least five years’ experience at a senior director or VP level
  • A successful tenure at a growth company, with experience in recruiting top talent and establishing product development processes
  • A proven track record in delivering software to drive revenue gains and delight customers
  • 10+ years’ experience in a high-ranking product management position, preferably leading a product management team in a complex business (SaaS environment)
  • Agile experience
  • Experience in banking, financial services and payments systems
  • Experience in geographical growth and adapting product to fit market needs in new territories
  • Regular travel to work with our regional teams and gather market information
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment with multiple high-level priorities
  • Accustomed to working in an international environment involving remote team management and various time zones
