About the company

Entersekt is a dynamic mobile technology company founded in 2008 by four electronic engineers. With a head office in Cape Town, South Africa, Entersekt also has offices in the UK and USA.

Entersekt provides a patented enterprise security platform enabling a secure, interactive communication channel between the enterprise and the mobile end user. Using mutual digital certificates on the mobile phone, Entersekt addresses the shortcomings of complex, costly, authentication solutions.

The 2010 release of the Entersekt Interactive Transaction Authentication (ITA) software has garnered immense interest internationally from banks facing increasing online fraud and requiring a solution for full function mobile banking. By effectively addressing "man in the middle" attacks, the solution offers a simple and effective way of allowing the end user to authenticate the transaction.

In 2011 the Entersekt ACS (Access Control Server) was certified by Visa, allowing Entersekt to provide banks with a fully functional ACS for card transactions, along with transaction authentication for "card not present" transactions. The certification by Visa positions Entersekt uniquely in the authentication field and effectively revolutionises our customer's mobile and online strategies.
